As Art Director on the Soak Up the Rain New Hampshire project, I worked closely with the design team and client to develop a logo/brand and website with a playful, inviting feeling. The goal was to make rainwater mitigation look easy and fun for homeowners. Colors were chosen to to convey the concept of clean, pure water and to create a fresh contemporary look for the organization.
The playful logo, illustrated by Kameron Mertz, was designed to show the process of catching and holding rainwater.
The website home page includes an animated sequence in which passing rain showers run off the roof of the house to collect in a rain barrel (filled with blue water above).
Website secondary pages include simple icon links to project locations throughout the state, a portal through which people can submit projects to be posted, information on Partner Groups and a link to the project photo gallery.
